My name is Michelle and welcome to Hansen Retrievers.

I am the mother to two beautiful girls; an almost 4 year old and a 10 month old. The two of them are my absolute world.

 

A little about me - I worked in the veterinary field for just about 8 years as Registered Veterinary Technician before leaving the field to become a full time stay at home mom. After being out of the field for almost 3 years I just recently decided to go back part time - now I am back to being a dog nurse at a local vet hospital. Raising and nurturing animals has always been in my soul. 🐶

 

I began this journey about 6 years ago. I currently breed English Labrador Retrievers and later this year I am praying for our first litter of Golden Retrievers.

 

Breeding is a huge part of my life. I get to raise pups from birth and then at 8 weeks I witness them go to their forever families. I will never stop being thankful for the families who have trusted me to raise their pups for the first 8 weeks of their life. Seeing my pups live their absolute best life and thriving is what makes everything worth it! The never ending cleaning, the constant poop, not getting to go on vacations, the list goes on of the sacrifices I have to make and have made. But there is honestly nothing better than seeing the smiles on peoples faces and the tails wagging when the two are united.

 

Also to the families who are currently waiting to get a puppy from me - I thank you as well from the bottom of my heart.
